Do I really need a water softener for my system?
A water softener can remove hardness-causing calcium and magnesium minerals through a process called ion exchange. A water softener addresses hard water, one of the most prevalent and devastating water problems. If your water test report shows the hardness of the water is pretty high, you should use Water softener to reduce the hardness to ensure the water qualified entering RO system.
How to know whether the water is hard or not?
Fill the bottle one-third full, add a few drops of pure liquid soap and shake vigorously for a few seconds. If there is a distinct lack of fluffy bubbles and the water appears cloudy and/or milky, your water is hard.

Clogged pipelines are also an issue caused due to lime scaling. Minerals in the hard water get deposited on the walls of the pipes and block the waterway.
